Cool off in the Colorado River near Moab, UT

We were exhausted as we rode the last few miles back to Moab after finishing, “The Whole Enchilada“. We had put in 34mi. of pedaling over some of the most difficult single-track anywhere. We saw a guy break his arm 10mi. from the nearest road and have to abandon his bike so he could get down safely before the hottest hours of the day might leave him stranded on the trail. The desert heat threatened to suck the life out of anyone left in in too long and we needed a cure.

Hwy 279, southwest of town… time to jump in.
